We’ll arrange your shoot at a time and date when you can all be together as a family and relax, perhaps make a day of it and take the day off, it’s up to you.

Your portrait session will start in the comfort of your own home, you will feel more relaxed that way, and I think it’s important to get to know everyone over a cuppa before we start. We have two grown up children of our own and my wife Josie usually accompanies me on these shoots, she’s great when it comes to choosing outfits and having a giggle.

Then when we’re ready, it’s off into town for some edgy urban shots or maybe into the local countryside, but it’s usually somewhere that means something special to your family. This is how we capture some really beautiful relaxed family pictures. You know the images everyone loves; ‘caught in the moment’.

The session can run over two hours so I always work at an easy relaxed pace so that everyone stays fresh and interested.

About a week after, we’ll show a selection of photographs from the session and together we’ll choose the ones that you’d like to have. We have a fabulous range of albums and frame styles and lots of original ideas to set your images off perfectly, we can even create a ‘story book’ of images from the shoot – great when there are several images you love but they won’t all fit on the walls and sideboards! 

It’s an important time to have some pictures taken; soon they’ll be off again getting on with their lives! They’re grown up and have developed their own personas. Even the people that don’t want their pictures taken often make fabulous images when they don’t know its happening. Our beautiful range of albums and frame styles will make amazing gifts for family and friends and with photos like these they will treasure them for years to come.
