Capturing the spirit of our true best friends
The bond between a pet and its owner is the strongest of bonds. The constant love our pets give to us is a magical thing which is difficult to describe but is a delight to capture. I never set out to be a pet photographer, it just happened as a natural extension of doing lifestyle family portrait photographs and being asked if I could take photographs of the family pet while I was there. Now I’m being asked to do pet portraits too, so I want to showcase some of my pet photography.
About your pet portrait session
People or pets, my approach and style is very similar. I want to capture the spirit and character of my subjects and tell a story about the subjects in the picture.
Pet photography sessions for dogs and cats (and the occasional rabbit) start at home, in familiar surroundings so that your pet can get to know me and be comfortable being photographed. For dog owners, if you’d like to, we can go to your dog’s favourite place, open fields, the beach, the woods and make some action shots of them running around, fetching sticks or splashing in the water.
All the while I’ll be taking photographs of your dog or dogs, and of you as a family group if you wish. Each session is different and is tailored to the type of pet photographs that you would like.
How much will your pet portraits cost?
Our pet portrait sessions are £95 and usually last for between one and two hours. Bespoke framed photographs for wall hanging start at £185.
If you have a new puppy, why not choose a ‘Puppy’s first Year’ Collection; four sessions taken throughout the year with a leather bound Folio storybook album made from photographs from each of the sessions.
Thinking of a pet portrait as a gift?
A bespoke framed photograph makes a fabulous gift for parents, grandparents and friends. we have a range of Portrait Gift Vouchers starting at £50 which can be purchased from our online shop. Your gift certificates will be sent to you or the person you’re buying it for in a presentation box with full details of the gift and how to use it.
