Despite living in a technicolor world I’m delighted by the number of clients of all ages who just love the timeless quality of classical black and white portraits. In the winter months the starkness of natural light lends itself perfectly to black and white photography. So, I thought it would be fun to offer a black and white only package until the end of March.

Photographs will be taken in natural light or supplemented with artificial light to create the look that you’ll love.

I’ve devised three frame sizes from the most popular sizes of bespoke frames and chosen my favourite frame mouldings and mounts for black and white photographs. You can purchase just one frame if you wish or I can design a wall installation made up of a collection of framed photographs.

The picture above gives you an idea of how your finished framed portraits would look. The gallery below is a selection of black and white portraits taken over the last year or so.

Details and prices

Black and white portrait photography sessions
I shoot black and white portrait photography sessions on location in real locations and using a studio style set up at your home. We keep things simple and focus on creating striking images that make amazing artworks.
Sessions take around an hour and a half and cost £150.

Prior to the portrait session we’ll have a chat about the style of black and white photographs you’d like and the best locations. Locations could be at your home or place of work, or they could be taken in an urban location or even in the countryside.

Framed photographs with gicleé prints
Small – 14×11” and 10×7” print- £225
Medium – 20×16” and 15×11” print – £485
Large – 26×20″ and 20×14” print – £680

*Gicleé prints are printed on fine art archival grade papers that are widely used for limited edition prints and for gallery display. I prefer Gicleé paper stock as it gives the photographs a depth and clarity that traditional lustre photogpraphic prints don’t achieve.

Other sizes are available to special order. Complimentary digital copies of the photographs you purchase are supplied with your framed photographs.
